Well managed, a camera lens will represent the perspective of the photographer. It cannot lie, but it is not impartial.

…where the deer and the antelope play…

Robert Hartwig has loved photography since before digital was widely available. That said, he loves the freedom digital cameras provide to learn at low cost. He remembers owning an early Sony Cybershot (~2002) boasting a whopping 1.3 megapixels of image resolution.

Looking back, it’s good that early digital resolution was low because it mirrored Rob’s early skill level. Often shot with no zoom, his early photography sometimes felt like a blend of randomness, tedium, and nihilism.

Thankfully Rob’s photography has expanded and improved.
